From Mrs. Tosiello:
Ah, May a month of contrasts -
cool days, rainy days, and hot, humid days - a real New
England spring. The days are flying by now, packed
with many events, field trips, First Communion and of course
8th grade graduation activities.
I would like to congratulate
our 8th grade students for their beautiful and dramatic
portrayal of the Stations of the Cross; it is
truly the culmination of their spiritual growth here at OLA.
They are now ready to share their values and ideals with
others in the high schools they will attend next year.
On Monday, April 27th, grades
6, 7 & 8 received valuable information from a juvenile
advocate officer in the Essex District Attorney's office on
internet safety and the proper and improper ways of cell
phone messaging, texting and video usage. The goal of
this program is to educate and protect our young students in
the safety issues involved in the latest technology devices
available to them. It is our responsibility as a
school and home partnership to monitor our children and
instruct them in the ways of the world. This program
will be offered again next year as it was very well done.
Let the beautiful weather
continue giving us the energy to finish everything we
started in September.
Happy Spring!
