Our Lady of Assumption School: Celebrating 50 Years of L.I.F.E.
By choosing Our Lady of the Assumption School for the education of your child, you are choosing the powerful combination of academic excellence with a sound moral foundation.
Our faith-based value-filled education incorporates the following basic principles into all activities:
Lead others by our example.
Inspire others by our activities.
Faithfully follow the path of our Lord Jesus.
Each of us will work together to benefit all of us.
Academic Excellence
100% of our 8th grade students were accepted to their first choice high school.
SMARTBoard, iPad and AppleTV technology in all of our classrooms has increased teacher productively and student performance across all grade levels.
Faith and Values
Our students are able to make good moral decisions in today's challenging world because we focus so strongly on their spiritual needs.
Our students showed their kindness and generosity by raising over $5,000 for the Leukemia Society and more than $8,000 for The Jimmy Fund.
The success of our annual Hat and Mitten Drive for the Tracy Elementary School shows that our students understand the importance of service to the community.
Life-Long Impact
Our students learn to use their creativity, develop self-esteem, and become active participants fo a team through their participation in our talent show, the Malden Catholic Quiz Bowl, our annual art show, our musical concerts and Athletics programs.
Our students learn leadership skills through participation in the Student Council, the school newspaper and our Buddy Program, which involves older students acting as mentors to younger students.
Students who complete at least the eighth grade in a private school are twice as likely as other students to graduate from college.
Catholic school students earn higher scores than their peers on SAT results, have higher levels of education and earn higher household incomes.
